Hydrogel Polymers Are Our Specialty

AquaMed has developed a high-capacity manufacturing line that can produce cross-linked polymer hydrogel on a backing scrim. Our process uses an electron-beam to cross-link the polymers and not a chemical process.

Additionally, we have the ability to cross-link and blend other ingredients into the polymer hydrogel to provide further flexibility to our clients. In this way, our gels can be used to deliver pain relief, skin care benefits, burn care, as well as a range of other topical applications.

  • Because our polymer gels have an extremely high water content, similar to human skin, they are ideal for the treament of abrasions or blisters. And the healing rate is faster with gel patches are more comfortable than traditional plastic bandages or gauze patches.
  • Hydrogel Polymer dressings are used to protect against blisters, especially on the feet, and create a smooth, comfortable barrier from abrasion caused by shoes and clothing. They are ideal for athletes and can help prevent blisters and abrasion.
  • Hydrogel Dressings are highly absorbent and are therefore useful for exudating wounds.
  • Our polymer gels do not contain any bonding adhesive, yet their properties provide good adhesion as well as easy removal without damaging the skin.

We are the leading manufacturer of hydrogel patches and sheet dressings. We can customize your formulation as well as deliver rolls and sheets per your specifications.
